Gabriele Pro was born in Rome in 1997. Pupil of Enrico Onofri, from a very young age he carries out an intense concert activity that has led him to perform around the world: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United Arabian Emirates, United States. After the studies in modern violin with Judith Hamza, he graduated with full marks, honors and Honorable Mention in baroque violin at the "A. Scarlatti" Conservatory in Palermo, under the guidance of Enrico Onofri. In 2021 he was he was awared his second master degree in Musicology at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". He has completed course and masterclasses with internationally renowned artists, such as: G. Carmignola, R. Minasi, L. Schayegh. His concert activity has led him to perform in numerous festivals and concert seasons, such as: MITO settembre musica, Oude Muziek Utrecht, Resonanzen Wien, Tage Alter Musik - Herne, Muziekcentrum De Bijloke, Aequinox Festival, Filarmonica Romana, I Pomeriggi Musicali, Festival Monteverdi, Eilat Chamber Music Festival. He has played with numerous renowed orchestral and chamber ensembles, including: Le Concert des Nations, Accademia Bizantina, Academia Montis Regalis, Zefiro, Venice Baroque Orchestra, Ensemble Mare Nostrum, Concerto Romano, Concerto de’ Cavalieri, La lira di Orfeo, Aquila Altera, La Fonte Musica. He has collaborated and been directed by internationally famous musicians such as: Jordi Savall, Enrico Onofri, Ottavio Dantone, Anttonio Florio, Alfredo Bernardini, Alessandro Quarta, Andrea De Carlo, Dmitry Sinkovsky performing in important concert halls such as: Carnegie Hall, Berliner Philarmonie, Philarmonie de Paris, Theater an der Wien, Wiener Konzerthaus, Elbphilarmonie, Pierre Boulez Saal, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Teatro dal Verme. He has recorded for Sony, Passacaille, Arcana, Alia Vox, Glossa, Dynamic, Tactus, and for radios RAI, WDR, ORF. Gabriele Pro is artistic director both festival San Ginesio Musica Antica, and Progetto Syntagma chamber orchestra.
